Psychological factors may contribute to or interfere with an individual’s ability to safely and competently complete work-related tasks. Some may believe that his/her emotional difficulty is too overwhelming to maintain employment. Others may be entering the workforce and are unsure as to whether their disabilities may affect their future training or employment. And still, there are times when employers raise concerns about an employee’s ability to maintain a safe working environment. ForPsych has worked with private organizations, municipalities, and even the federal government providing assessments across the employment continuum from pre-employment evaluations to retirement. In 2020, we partnered with the City of Cincinnati Police Department offering these services to its officers and personnel. In 2021, we partnered with the City of Columbus Civil Service Commission to provide pre-employment/post-offer psychological evaluations of protective service candidates.
